Orchard Table Dinner & Historical Apple Tasting
- 125 US dollars$125
- East Bunco Road
Service Description
This Autumn season we have been blessed and there is much to celebrate! About 60% of our preservation apple orchard produced this year and we felt it would only be proper to share this milestone with all of our longtime followers and die hard fans. In our family, celebrating means gathering around the table and sharing amazing food together. So to mark this special time in our orchard-based business's history, we'd like to invite you to share in the celebration. Gather around the expansive farm table set in one of our orchards just before twilight, steeped in the golden hour and candlelight. Enjoy a thoughtfully curated dinner highlighting in-season ingredients and "antique" apples organically grown and raised right here at Athol Orchards. Once dinner wraps up, you will be treated to what we have officially coined our History Harvest. Guests will be served flights of fresh slices of rare and historical apple varieties straight from our orchard. As your taste buds experience the complex diversity of each varietal, Nikki herself will do a bit of storytelling, bringing to life the stories and histories of these ancestral apples. The grand finale of the evening will be an offering of a festive, Autumn-inspired dessert, complete with locally roasted, piping hot coffee ( or tea ) from Abide Culture Coffee of Athol. The local duo, Honey Soup will be entertaining us under the stars with their signature acoustic sound. If you are fans of the North Idaho group The Powers, then you may recognize Sarah Jean, the original fiddle player of the group. She and her new husband are Honey Soup and we absolutely love their sound. Tickets are limited to 60 seats only and are anticipated to sell out quickly. Get a group of your favorite friends together, plan a date night, or come solo! We call this a "North Idaho" fancy event. We will most likely be in our best boots and Wrangler jeans. We are so excited that we finally get to share what we've been working so hard to establish over the past seven years - a vibrant preservation orchard growing history, one apple at a time.
